Caring for Katy 2026

Kingsland’s 18th Annual Caring for Katy was a powerful reminder of who we are called to be.

On the last Sunday in February, we closed the doors of our buildings so we could open our lives to our community — going out to be the Church and to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus.

The weather was absolutely beautiful — a perfect day to bless our city.

Across Katy and beyond, our community groups mobilized and then moved in the direction of people in need. We served alongside trusted ministry partners and stepped into more than 60 initiatives designed to meet real, tangible needs.

But something deeper happened as well.

When God’s people move toward need, practical help turns into something more. Smiles replace discouragement. Weary hearts are refreshed. Heavy burdens are lightened. Hope is restored. God showed up through His people — and lives were changed.

This year’s Caring for Katy video captures just a glimpse of what took place. I hope you will take a few moments to watch and celebrate what God has done.

One of the most meaningful parts of this day is seeing families serve together — parents and children side by side, building memories while blessing others. That joy is woven throughout the video.

Thank you for being a church that doesn’t just gather — but goes.
